As proposed every team will play 3 matches of 2 x 30
minute halves with a 5 minute break in between and every team having at least a
three day break in between matches.
Competition will commence on
Wednesday 10th March and round 3 matches will conclude on Friday
26th March where Finals will follow on Monday 29th March
and the Grand Finals will follow on Wednesday 31st
March.
The format is
as follows:
- After 3 rounds Seniors will have a final ladder where every team has
finished.
- The top 4 (out of 12)
for Seniors will play off as follows:
-
Ladder Position 2 will play Ladder
Position 3 in a Preliminary Final to advance to Grand
Final.
-
Ladder Position 1 will play Ladder
Position 4 in a Preliminary Final to advance to Grand
Final.
- Finals and Grand
Finals will follow the same format of 2 x 30 minutes halves with a 5 minute
break in between.
- Unlimited numbers on
the bench including Finals and Grand Finals.
- In the event of a
DRAW in Finals or Grand Finals a ‘Shoot Out’ for goal will occur which will
involve:
-
1 player being selected from each
team and taking 5 kicks for goal from directly in front no closer than the 50
metre arc.
-
The player with the highest score
after 5 kicks will win on behalf of his team.
-
If the scores are even after 5
kicks the ‘Shoot Out’ will then be a ‘Sudden Death’ one for one kick system,
meaning who ever is first to miss will lose the
game.
-
The ball must carry to the goal
line on the full for it to be registered as a score ie point,
goal.
- Entry fee for every
person entering the ground is $2 (including
players).
- SFL Umpires are
supplied for every single match.
- All matches are SFL
sanctioned meaning players/officials can be reported and suspended if necessary
which will result in them being disqualified from the Pre Season Competition and
the suspension will apply for the upcoming SFL season.
- Every team must
submit a manual team sheet (see attached - not generated from SportingPulse)
each time they play which must be handed to the umpires by half time of their
match.
- All players do not need to be registered with the SFL
at the time of playing however they must be on the team
sheet.
